TPO / TPE

Thermoplastic Elastomer / Thermoplastic Olefin is a broad classification for a wide-ranging family of materials that have superior impact resistance relative to other filled and unfilled polypropylene resins. Generally, these materials are very soft and flexible. These products vary by base resin, type and amount of rubber, filler incorporation, and potential addition of oil. Applications vary widely, from very large automotive bumpers with stringent impact requirements, to gaskets for ensuring water-tight seals, to overmolded tools or utensils, where the  yields a comfort or ergonomic improvement.
